DO YOU WANT TO SUPPORT OUR MINISTRY?

Here is how you can support our ministry.

Read your Bible, then go to where there are unbelievers, tell them about JESUS CHRIST, and give them your testimony of how you were saved. Once you have finished, repeat this process with others. Continue in like manner until you die or until Jesus comes to take you home.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 1:21

We have put this page here to let you know that you may give to our ministry if the Holy Spirit inspires you to.

We do not beg or plead for money. We will not even ask for money, because we believe God has invited us into His will and He will provide for us and be our sufficiency.

Being part of the Ministry of Reconciliation can be accomplished in many ways. Not just with money, but with your time (the most precious possession you have). Also with your life, every resource you own, your breath, your heart, your thoughts.

When I went from believing Jesus was the Lord to knowing Jesus was my Lord, my whole life changed. My priorities, my thoughts, my desires, and my direction changed. I no longer desired to live for this world.

I realized if I did not give God 100% of everything I had I wasn’t giving enough. There is freedom knowing God owns everything and we are just stewards of what he has blessed us with. If you are going to give, give to your own ministry of reconciliation and give it all!

If you are in debt we do not want your money.

Here is what the Bible says about being in debt.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Romans 13:8-10

God said this for a reason! Debt should be avoided like the plague!

If God invites someone into His will, He will provide for them with His sufficiency! A Christian need never beg for money for the outreach of God’s Word. If you see one (televangelists etc…) you can be sure they are flesh-based and not faith-based. How much does it cost to open your mouth to speak?

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8

This is probably the hardest verse of the Bible for Americans to practice.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich (notice God didn’t say those who are rich, but those who have a longing and a desire to be rich) fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:8

The love of money is the root of all evil, and the love of God and all others is the root of all good. These two principals are in conflict in our world today, as never before. We get in trouble, not because of what we possess, but because our hearts’ desire for material things often overcomes and overwhelms our principles of right and wrong.

Someone said, “When your outgo exceeds your income, then your upkeep will be your downfall.”

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

The Bible says if we don’t have something, we don’t need it, or we may have misused what God gave us. If I am lacking something materially, either it is because God knows I don’t need it, or God provided so I could purchase that thing and I misused or wasted what God provided.

Three Biblical reasons why we should not borrow money.

  1. We ought to be content with what we have.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

Borrowing money to obtain material things demonstrates a lack of contentment with God and with what God has given us.

  2. Borrowing money makes you servant to the lender

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

The moment you borrow money you have put yourself under obligation. Your indebtedness has put you under bondage. God says the borrower is the servant to the lender.

  3. Borrowing money ruins relationships

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Matthew 5:21-24

Here is a man who has come to church. He has come to worship God; he has brought a gift to God. Sounds great. Yet, God says, “Wait a minute! Our relationship is severed because you have a severed relationship with a brother. And until you make the relationship with the brother right you have no relationship with me.” Tough words, but there is no other way to interpret the passage.

This is why we ask that you pay your debts first before you give.

If you are in debt and you want to serve God I suggest you start by taking the Bible position as stated in Proverbs 22:7

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Make yourself the servant that the Bible says you are. If you owe a bank or a brother, you have no right to buy yourself a CD, or go to a movie, because that money is not yours, but its rightful owner is your master, “the lender.”

If you owe anyone any amount of money, you have no business eating out, possessing cable TV—or even taking a vacation—because that is not your money. The Bible says the borrower is the slave, the servant, and the lender is his master. You don’t work for you anymore. And as long as you are in debt, you are working to pay that debt.

Realize failure to pay is lying and stealing.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25

If I agree to pay you for something, (loan, mortgage, etc.) and I do not, do you know what I have done? I have lied, I am a liar, and my word henceforth is good for nothing until I make that thing right. The Bible says don’t lie.

The people you have wronged may never trust you again. How can you share the gospel with someone you have lied and stolen from? Your credibility with them is gone; your witness is not of an honest Christian, but of a liar and a thief.

It sounds harsh, but this is the Biblical position. But, don’t be discouraged—God has made a way out for all of us who are either in debt or battle with other issues.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself…Matthew 6:33-34

It is simple, but not always easy.
God’s Word is true. You can count on it!
